The new Little Mark IV amplifiers adds a few great features to the flagship, the Markbass Little Mark III amplifier, the industry standard for sound, portability and value. This 300 W version is a reasonable choice for those who do not need the full power of a 500 W head. It offers new features such as a new dual-band limiter that responds faster and more dynamically to your game, a Mute switch and a 3-position rotary switch with Flat, Scooped or FSW (pedal switchable) equalizer options.
Since its inception 20 years ago, Markbass has pioneered small amplifier models with its "Little Mark" series, setting an industry standard thanks to the compact size of its amplifiers, their light weight, and their distinctive warm and natural sound. This link has been retained in Little Mark IV and is being further developed to include the new features demanded by many of our artists and customers.
The innovative 4-band equalizer section has highly efficient controls that make it easy to find the sound you want, adding or removing up to 16 dB of each of the 4 bands, covering all the tonal nuances needed in any music genre. In addition, the Old School filter trims higher frequencies and produces a round, soft tone. The 3-position rotary switch allows you to choose between a super balanced flat Flat tone, a Scooped preset that suppresses mids and enhances bass and treble - giving a super tidal sound, and finally a "FSW" option for mute control and a Scooped EQ with an optional dual footswitch .
The new dual-band limiter responds faster and more dynamically to your game than traditional limiters, and allows higher bands to "breathe", creating a more natural sound. This makes our amplifier heads the best choice for anyone who likes to enjoy a quick, piercing attack at high volumes.
On the front panel of the Little Mark IV series of amplifiers, there is a convenient Mute switch together with a knob on the Line Out level control, which allows precise adjustment of the signal sent to the mixer / PA. There is a Pre-Post EQ switch on the rear panel that allows you to adjust the XLR output before or after your equalizer, as required.
