7-string electric guitar from RG series that is the most recognizable and distinctive guitar in Ibanez production. It features a solid ash body, a slim, fast and durable Wizard-7 neck made of five pieces of maple/wenge wood, and a bound Macassar Ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets with Prestige fret edge treatment and white dot inlays. Scale length is 648 mm, fingerboard radius is 430 mm and width of the GraphTech is 48 mm. The guitar is equipped with two DiMarzio Fusion Edge passive humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets that have been designed and engineered through close collaboration between Ibanez and DiMarzio. They produce a powerful, distinctive tone with a crisp, cutting high end and a tight, compressed bottom end, without any muddy mid-range. Their sound can be controlled by Volume and Tone controls and a 5-way pickup selector. The instrument further features the Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge designed for optimal transfer of each string’s vibration, Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads for incredible tuning stability and fast string-changing time, and black hardware. A hard-shell case is included. Weathered Black colour design.
Macassar ebony is a hard, dense wood with a distinctive striped pattern in shades of black and brown. It offers a clear, crisp tone with excellent response and sustain. The Macassar ebony fingerboard is valued for its luxurious appearance and durability. This contributes to the precise playability and longevity of the instrument.
The matte finish gives surfaces a subtle, unobtrusive and elegant appearance without gloss. This type of finish is achieved by using special paints, varnishes or coatings that absorb light instead of reflecting it. This provides a smooth, non-dazzling finish which gives the materials a sophisticated and modern appearance. The matte finish is popular for its ability to hide small imperfections and fingerprints, making it a convenient choice for everyday use.
Ash is a hardwood with a dense grain that produces a bright, punchy tone with well-defined highs and solid bass. It is known for its resonance and natural dynamics, making it suitable for musical styles where a strong sonic response is desired.
The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
The Superstrat is a type of electric guitar based on the design of the Stratocaster, but modified for a more aggressive style of playing, especially in the hard rock and metal genres. It has a solid body, often with powerful humbucker pickups for a more powerful and distorted sound. Superstrat guitars often have an improved tremolo system (like the Floyd Rose) and a faster neck for technical playing. This type of guitar is designed for the modern guitarist who demands more versatility and performance.
