Signature electric guitar sith Super-ST-style body shape from JEM series that was designed in collaboration with the legendary guitarist Steve Vai. Famous for its distinctive look and innovative design, time has seen this popular, upscale guitar become the most counterfeited model in the world. The instrument features a mahogany body with the famous Monkey Grip and a Wizard III maple neck fitted with a rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and typical ‘Tree of life’ inlays. Scale length is 648 mm, nut width is 43 mm and fingerboard’s radius is 400 mm. The guitar is equipped with the characteristic H/S/H pickup configuration, including two Quantum passive humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets in the neck and bridge positions, and one Quantum passive single-coil pickup with ceramic magnet in the middle position. Together they provide an accelerated bass response for exceptionally fast tracking of high-speed staccato riffing with crushing mid-range and precise high-end articulation. Sound can be controlled and adjusted via Master Tone and Master Volume controls and a 5-position pickup switch. Other features include a standard Ibanez bridge with double locking tremolo system and the characteristic Lion's Claw tremolo cavity and Cosmo black hardware. White colour design.
Jatoba is a hardwood with a warm, reddish tone that produces a bright, articulate sound with good response. The Jatoba fingerboard is valued for its durability and strength, while providing a smooth and stable feel. It is an affordable alternative to more expensive woods that still provides a quality sound and attractive appearance.
The humbucker-single-coil-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups and a single-coil pickup in the middle. This setup combines the powerful, full tone of the humbuckers with the clear, crisp sound of the single-coil, offering a wide range of tonal possibilities for a variety of musical styles, from clean tones to heavy distortion.
The matte finish gives surfaces a subtle, unobtrusive and elegant appearance without gloss. This type of finish is achieved by using special paints, varnishes or coatings that absorb light instead of reflecting it. This provides a smooth, non-dazzling finish which gives the materials a sophisticated and modern appearance. The matte finish is popular for its ability to hide small imperfections and fingerprints, making it a convenient choice for everyday use.
The Superstrat is a type of electric guitar based on the design of the Stratocaster, but modified for a more aggressive style of playing, especially in the hard rock and metal genres. It has a solid body, often with powerful humbucker pickups for a more powerful and distorted sound. Superstrat guitars often have an improved tremolo system (like the Floyd Rose) and a faster neck for technical playing. This type of guitar is designed for the modern guitarist who demands more versatility and performance.
Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.
Mahogany is a dense wood that produces a warm, full tone with rich bass and a strong mid-range. It is known for its excellent sustain and resonance, giving it a deep and round sound.
