Product code: Co-Yorktown-TAB with bag | ID: 241242
The Yorktown is a superbly crafted traditional hollow-body electric guitar that delivers a big, warm and full-bodied tone that its appearance implies. Featuring the old-world construction methods that contribute to its classic sound, the Yorktown features a spruce top, maple back and sides and a set-in Canadian hard maple neck. Other features include a floating bridge with fine-tuning capability, an elegant harp tailpiece, block inlays on the fretboard, vintage-style tuners, and a set of the versatile and sweet-sounding ClassicRocker-II humbuckers. The Yorktown is all about big and bold tone. To fully maximize the Spruce top, Maple back and sides and the hard rock Maple neck, Cort's craftsmen have carefully set this neck into the body using a classic dovetail joint. This delivers enhanced sustain and tone. The Yorktown is equipped with a floating tune-o-matic bridge for fine-tuning and perfect intonation needed for playing complex chords all over the neck. The tailpiece is a classic harp-style which imparts class and elegance while providing tuning functionality and stability. To maximize the big bold sound of the Yorktown, Cort equipped it with two ClassicRocker-II pickups. Each humbucker is overwound for a little hotter performance than a typical PAF pickup. Finish: Tabacco Burst.
Spruce top offers bright, punchy tone with excellent projection and dynamics. The sound is well balanced, with clear highs and solid bass, giving the instrument distinctive resonance and sensitivity.
The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.
A hollow body guitar is an electric guitar with a hollow body that contains resonating cavities. It has a warm and rich sound, often used in jazz, blues and rock. The body of a guitar usually contains F-holes, which contribute to its acoustic properties. Hollow body guitars have a more natural, less distorted tone than solid body guitars, but are more prone to feedback at higher volumes.
The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.
Rosewood is a dark, dense wood that offers a warm, rich tone with excellent response and sustain. The rosewood fingerboard is valued for its smoothness and comfortable feel while offering durability and longevity. It is popular for its rich sound and classic aesthetic.
